In the early days of January 2023, we embarked on a journey to build something special—mavens and Zynga Israel's new headquarters in Southern Tel Aviv. The location itself carried a story. At its core, it was an old, preserved villa with a history that stretched back 150 years, standing as a silent witness to decades of transformation in the city around it.

Once, this villa had an undeniable charm, with its intricate architecture and rich character. But over time, its magic seemed to fade, and its allure gave way to a dull, grey structure that lacked imagination and life. It was as if the heart of the place had been buried under layers of concrete and neglect. But we saw something different. We saw the potential that still lived beneath the surface, waiting to be rediscovered. Our vision was clear: we would breathe new life into this space, restoring its original spirit and making it a vibrant home for our Israeli employees, for Zynga, and for mavens alike.

We poured our hearts into the project, determined to make this place whole again. Walls were stripped back, spaces were reimagined, and piece by piece, the villa began to transform into a headquarters that felt alive with possibility. There was excitement in the air as we watched the progress unfold—each day bringing us closer to the vision we had imagined.

But then, on October 7th, everything came to a standstill. The circumstances were unexpected and challenging, leaving us with the difficult task of finding solutions when building hands were suddenly absent from the site for several weeks. It was a tough pause in a project that had been filled with momentum, but we persevered, knowing that the wait would be worth it. Ultimately, the delay was shorter than we had feared—less than two months—before the work resumed and the villa came back to life.

Finally, on March 10th, the moment we had been working toward arrived. We moved into our new home; the villa was restored not just as a building but as a space full of character, culture, and possibility. As you can see from the video, this is just the beginning. The journey of this villa, of our headquarters, is far from over. We’re excited about what lies ahead and incredibly grateful for all the support and help that have made this dream a reality.
